Critical Analysis
by E. Rettberg
Design Features
typographic: The cover's titular dust erodes into light as it is read from left to right.
openings: What appear to be page numbers on the understated versos of several pages are probably actually designations of copy number, following page 2's announcement of "2nd generation copy of a blank sheet of paper."
turnings: As the pages are turned, the reader encounters more and more dust crowding the recto page.
temporal features: If the book is flip-booked from back to front, its reader can experience the sensation of dust become ever smaller and then dissipating into light.
