inspiration: Holt's work was inspired by her Aunt Ethel's experiences with a cruel and manipulative nurse who resided in her home when she was ill. Lines from a letter sent to Holt by her aunt are used in the first section of the work, accompanying images of a disorderly and completely torn apart home that belonged to Ethel. [S.Muradi]
